Hermosillo, Sonora.- Este lunes en un instituto de Knoxville, del Estado de Tennessee, ocurrió un tiroteo, dejando varias victimas, entre ellas un agente de policía, según comunicó el departamento local de policía. Aún se desconoce el número de herido, la razón del ataque y si hay fallecidos. Trágicamente esto ocurrió luego de dos tiroteos, uno en Atlanta (Georgia) y otro en Boulder (Colorado), los cuales han reavivado el debate sobre la tenencia de armas de fuego entre la población civil.
A través de Twitter, el super intendente de los colegios del condado Knox, publicó un mensaje, explicando que el edificio de Austin-East Magnet High School, había sido escenario de un tiroteo, del cual aún se encontraban reuniendo información y que los estudiantes “no involucrados” ya habían sido trasladados con sus familias. Como primera acción loa alumnos fueron resguardado en un campo de beisbol.
El tiroteo se produce cuatro días después de que el presidente, Joe Biden, presentase un paquete de medidad para endurecer el control de la venta de kits para fabricar en casa armas sin número de serie, denunciando la “vergüenza nacional” que, a su juicio, supone el elevado número de tiroteos que se registran cada año en Estados Unidos.
