Hermosillo, Sonora.- Hoy viernes por la mañana murió la niña Ximena Pereira de nueve años, debido a complicaciones que tuvo por Covid-19, en Hermosillo.
La niña fue internada en el Hospital Infantil del Estado de Sonora (HIES) desde el día martes por complicaciones.
A pesar de estar lucha do durante tres días por ayudarla, lamentablemente falleció. Cabe mencionar que Ximena fue diagnosticada con parálisis cerebral desde su nacimiento, más el virus y una neumonía que afectó sus pulmones en la última semana, fueron la causa de su deceso.
Carla Moreno, mamá de la niña, narró a Proyecto Puente que los síntomas habían comenzado como una molestia y llagas en la garganta, en Santa Ana de donde son originarios, para después ser trasladada a Magdalena y luego al HIES en Hermosillo.
En los últimos días Carla y Raul, padres de Ximena, quienes también dieron positivo al virus, habían solicitado ayuda para solventar los gastos económicos tras varios días fuera de su hogar.
Enfermeros y doctores cuentan que hicieron todo lo posible por salvarla; su pérdida les dolió mucho pues la niña les había robado el corazón.
Al momento, en Sonora suman al menos 13 fallecimientos en menores de 18 años a causa de este virus, con más de mil 126 casos en niños de 0 a 9 años y más de 4 mil 839 en menores de 10 a 19 años.
