Hermosillo,Sonora.- El boxeador Jermall Charlo, campeón del peso medio del CMB, retó a una pelea a Saul Álvarez, “Canelo”, y dijo estar dispuesto a renunciar a su cinturón de las 160 libras y subir a la división súper mediana, categoría de la que el mexicano tiene tres de los cuatro cinturones disponibles.
“Canelo haz que suceda la pelea, perderé mi título y subiré 168 libras”, dijo el pugilista originario de EUA durante una transmisión de instagram.
Charlo se ha mantenido invicto en 31 combates, 22 por la vía rápida, además el próximo 19 de junio se enfrentara, y defenderá su título, contra el mexicano Juan Macías Montiel, en el Toyota Center de Huston Texas.
Entre las opciones que Charlo le da al Canelo para el combate es hacerlo en un peso pactado de 164 libras con fecha para septiembre del presente año. la ultima vez que el Canelo peleo en este peso fue el 4 de mayo del 2019 contra Daniel Jacobs, teniendo en su poder los cinturones del CMB, AMB y FIB de dicha categoría.
