Detectan en San Luis Potosí primer caso de variante de Covid identificada en la india

Hermosillo, Sonora.- Autoridades sanitarias alertaron este domingo que el Instituto de Diagnóstico y Referencia Epidemiológicos (InDRE) confirmó la presencia de un caso positivo en San Luis Potosí de la variante B1.617, identificada por primera vez en la India.

Luego del informe, Ricardo Cortés, director general de Promoción de la Salud, recalcó que se trata de “una variante de interés, pero no de preocupación”.

Especialistas detallan que, hasta el momento, la Organización Mundial de la Salud ha identificado tres variantes “de preocupación” (VOC): las identificadas por primera vez en Brasil, Sudáfrica y Reino Unido.
