La Unidad de Rescate de la Asociación de Zoológicos, Criaderos y Acuarios de México (AZCARM), apoyó la madrugada de este miércoles en el rescate de dos tigres de Bengala (hembra y macho) y una leona africana en un rancho de Navojoa, Sonora.
El salvamento se realizó en apoyo a la Fiscalía General de la República (FGR), que montó un operativo de seguridad en la propiedad, por lo que los grandes felinos fueron trasladados al Zoológico de Culiacán, Sinaloa, con el fin de valorar su estado de salud.
En un comunicado de prensa, la AZCARM dio a conocer que los ejemplares, adultos jóvenes, permanecerán en resguardo, en tanto concluyen las investigaciones y la Procuraduría Federal de Protección al Ambiente (Profepa), define su destino final.
Expertos en bienestar animal atenderán a los tigres y la leona con asistencia médica y alimentación adecuada.
