Hermosillo, SONORA.- La presentación del libro “¿Agua segura? El mercado de agua embotellada en Hermosillo” de la maestra en Ciencias Sociales por el Colegio de Sonora, María Elena Vega, se transmitió en vivo con la participación de la autora y dos comentaristas para ampliar la discusión del estudio.
El análisis de este texto ahondó sobre el hábito de consumo del líquido vital en los habitantes de la capital sonorense, así como parte del aspecto histórico que llevó a la sustitución del agua del grifo por garrafones.
Los ponentes abordaron la percepción negativa en la calidad del agua que existe actualmente en Hermosillo, algunos de los cuales refieren a los altos índices de cloro o las sustancias dañinas que contienen.
María Elena Vega también señaló que uno de los parteaguas en el cambio de la manera del consumo de los hermosillenses con respecto al agua fue el del fluor en los años 80s, cuando las personas empezaron a notar decoloración en sus dientes.
La conclusión a la que se llegó durante la presentación del libro fue la falta de políticas públicas para regular el agua potable en la ciudad, así como información del organismo operador del agua para tener la certeza del agua que consumimos.
